Our general training workshops are free to current financial members of WILDCARE. Non-Members are welcome to attend our training workshops at a cost of $15 per person per workshop.
We also periodically offer specialised training workshops from interstate trainers at a nominal cost for wildlife rehabilitators.
At each of our training workshops, you will receive comprehensive training material on that topic. In order to conserve the environment, most training material is provided on CD-Rom in full-colour PDF documents. Hard-copies can be arranged at additional cost.

Wildcare Australia Specialised Training Workshops:
Native Animal Anatomy and Physiology
This is an advanced course designed essentially for those people who are seeking more in-depth practical knowledge on the anatomy and physiology of wildlife and how it relates to wildlife rehabilitation. The course is suitable for veterinary nurses, zoo keepers and experienced wildlife rehabilitators.
This course deals with the following:
- Skeletal, muscular, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and urinary anatomy and physiology of native Australian species
- It includes familiarity with some veterinary terminology
- Practical sessions include gross anatomy
The course is run by a wildlife veterinarian, Dr Tania Bishop who has over 12 years experience in the wildlife veterinary field.
Students receive a Statement of Attendance upon completion of the course.

The cost of the one-day course, including course handouts and morning and afternoon tea is $45.00 (including GST).
Tailored Training Courses
Our team of experienced and qualified trainers can design tailored training courses to suit a range of individuals including wildlife rehabilitators from other care organizations and veterinary nursing students.
