Volunteers contribute over 130,000 hours of wildlife rescue, caring, training and release activities each year. Much of the equipment, food, fuel, vehicle maintenance etc. is self funded. Wildcare uses donations to provide assistance so your support is critical.

Our beginning

Wildcare Australia Inc is a not-for-profit organisation covering the South-east Queensland region.

The organisation was originally formed as the Australian Koala Hospital Association in late 1993. It became an Incorporated Association and registered charity in 1994 and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission

Wildcare Australia Inc. acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
